What's the difference between silicone-based lubes and water-based lubes?

Why use one over the other?  You don't have to, keep one of each on hand but realize that they serve slightly different purposes.  Water based lubes don't last as long as Silicone lubes.  So if you try to set a personal best, you may need to bring in the Silicone.  If you happen to be enjoying a little water play, then you want Silicone because it won't break down until you bring out the soap.  But if your tasting it, remember that the Silicone will coat the tongue and not be nearly as pleasant as our Flavoured Lubes.  Having fun can be complicated and we just want you to use the right product for the right job!
